Are you overwhelmed by November’s epic four-card ballot? This election has 15 local ballot initiatives, and while our coverage at The Voice has been pretty candidate-heavy, we wanted to provide readers with a quick-and-dirty, nonendorsement-laden guide to the measures.
While it’s easy to see these issues as chores imposed on everyday people by City Hall types who should be making these decisions themselves, they give the public a chance to weigh in on some critical issues. This year especially has some crucial questions that will have long-term consequences for San Francisco, including the very way the city is run.
Our “Cheat Sheet” provides a succinct summary of what each measure promises to do, along with information on who put the issues on the ballot and some more well-known supporters and opponents.
